Due to unforeseen circumstances, the day of my operation there was unfortunately no bed free for me to complete the operation. I explained to Mr Hewes that I suffer from a disease and was currently in remission of it, that I knew I would currently be able to deal with the operation, however if my op was changed to a later date and if the disease were to return in the future I would not feel so confident about dealing with both together. Mr Hewes listened to everything I said and was very apologetic when he left. When the hospital secretary came to see me an hour later she explained that Mr Hewes had juggled his diary around for the following week to fit me in just 5 days later, I am so grateful to him for this, for listening to me and changing his schedule. I feel very honoured in fact to have been assigned Mr Hewes as my surgeon, I have total respect for what he does, he went above and beyond his call of duty in my case.

Met Mr Hews for the first time, he was very easy to talk to and listened to my concerns about a procedure in the future that i am hoping to have. I took along with me a list of questions to ask, and Mr Hews was happy to answer them all in detail. Very happy with consultation.

Explained everything very clearly. Made it easy to understand the pros & cons of the proposed procedure. I now feel much happier about the operation.
